The USPS Site Says That They're Still Expecting My Package. What Gives?
Permalink Closed

Once we create an online shipping label, the USPS website will display this message:

The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on June 11, 2009 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later

If you see this message, it means that we have shipped out your package and dropped it in the mail. There are two reasons why this message has not yet updated:

1) Because the USPS has not yet entered it into their system. Their system does not immediately update so there is a lag between our delivery to the post office and their acknowledgment of that fact.

2) Because your package is being delivered outside of the United States. The USPS does not provide tracking information for any international shipments. The displayed message will never update even after your order has been received by you.

Bottom line, if you see this message, it means that your package has in fact been shipped by us. We never sit on packages - once a label is generated, it goes out the door the same day.
